Baker Investment Group of Spokane Washington has reached agreement with the City of Green River to acquire a 1.25 acre commercial parcel at the corner of the newly constructed Wild Horse Canyon Road and West Flaming Gorge Way adjacent to exit 89 off Interstate 80. The new road has been constructed to serve the 105 room Hampton Inn & Suites currently under construction in First Springs Canyon. The hotel is scheduled for a June, 2008 opening. The ideally located commercial lot was created by the construction of Wild Horse Canyon Road and has excellent visibility from the interstate. Baker is currently working closely with Green River Futures on tenant recruitment to occupy the planned shopping center. The developer is seeking casual dining, other restaurants, office and retail tenants for the project. Upwards of 20,000 s.f. is planned. The shopping center will complement the planned retail and food service development planned adjacent to the hotel.
